Kashbah Dar Al-Hiba 1917 -
Ouarzazate, Morocco
Located in the Draa Valley, considered to be the largest palm grove in the world, with 200 km long and 18 km wide and around 1,500,000 palm trees, the Kasbah Dar El Bahia is one of the most important kasbah in the valley which offers a panoramic view of the palm grove.
The remarkable history of this region, which for centuries has been a land of multicultural convergence of Berber and Arab tribes, Jews and Haratines, explains the great richness of the regional cultural heritage in its various dimensions, both tangible and intangible.
The ksar is located 8 kilometers north of Zagora, on the main road connecting Zagora to Ouarzazate and along the Draa Valley considered to be the largest palm grove in the world, with 200 km long and 18 km wide and 1,500 000 palm trees. Tissergate is indeed in the heart of Ternata, a chain of six palm groves in the Draâ valley, offering an exceptional panoramic view. As soon as we see it, vigorously located between the road and the palm grove, it immediately stands out as one of the most spectacular ksours in the whole of southern Morocco.
